  Flamethrower (Fan Made) 3D Model 2023-11-07
(Overwatch and the logos are the property of Blizzard Entertainm, I in no way own them) This prop is a redisgned water gun inspired by firefighters. The design is also remarkably similar to flamethrowers. I was inspired to make it an Overwatch weapon, but realistic. I imagined a character that used a WWII style flamethrower, but modernized of course. I went a little far with the initial blockout and moving straight into the highres was a lot of cleanup work. I ended up making more fluid straps so the model was more dynamic. I struggled with cleanup when trying to make the game res, but in the end it got where it needed to be. I’m happy with how the floating geometry baked. The textures needed to feel like propane tanks or fire extinguishers. I got some great feedback to fix the contrast and realism, I'm very happy with where this has gone so far. After some minor texture polish in the metal map and roughness this project is in it's final stage 3d model
