Based on the Samurai fighting fish this sculpture is made from ceramic pollution absorbing NoxTek. Our relationship with our polluted oceans I see mirrored in this beautiful fish which is highly territorial and aggressive, attacking any other fish in its environs. For centuries we have spoken of ‘conquering nature’ forgetting we are a direct wonderful genetic chance response to it. But we are so connected to this biodiverse intricate ecosystem called Earth, that we are now experiencing the ramifications of our endless neglect and ‘growth’.
