Making this model helped me to better understand some of the tools available to me and has improved my overall workflow in a number of ways.
Specifically organization of assets and textures, and project management.
I’m still coming to terms with houdini so having multiple pieces and texture sets made things just complicated enough to get me thinking about the structure of my scene, the importance of proper naming conventions and generally just where my objects in my scene were in terms of where things were coming from and where they were going, i.e. input/ output.
Initially, I struggled with the back and forth of not having a clear, organized file structure but working on this project has helped put things in perspective 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 177508 polygons.
