For this environment, I am recreating a still frame so I wanted to find great reference to model from. Only few things are being changed from the still frame such as the design of the Spinosaurus as I much prefer Monsters interpretation so I wanted to change it up. This is number 1 of 4 swords created in 3D based on Ryan’s concept art. For one of my final modules in University I am creating 4 new portfolio pieces where I want to focus on asset creation without creating the concept art myself to see how they turn out.
I created the base model in Maya, took that into ZBrush to soften the edges and add in more detail, lastly I took it into Substance Painter to texture 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 5862 polygons.
