My goal was to create my own concept of the design that was more compact, but also make it functional (animated) and bake it to a game ready asset/prefab, which the video does not cover (it only bakes a static higher poly mesh that is not optimized).
This was a fun project and while i hoped to complete it in roughly the same amount of time as the video shows, it took a bit longer solidifying my own design, building the low/high poly mesh, and making it functional. This took me about a week of spare time tinkering to make (the tutorial only took 90+ minutes).
