Solar Power Incident Ray Aligning Lens … Space Support Vehicle … A category of spacecraft for the purpose of beaming solar power with minimal loss. Applications: propel solar sails or provide supplemental solar power to distant probes, asteroid mining, or other interplanetary spacecraft. This type of spacecraft would be put in a solar orbit between Venus and Mercury and direct sunlight as needed. A reflective film unfurls from spools within drums on the body of the craft and is attached to supporting masts which are used to keep the film in alignment. This acts as a simplified Fresnel collector that produces a convergent zone of redirected sunlight. This model is a bit of a rough draft at the moment so it's not all that detailed and may be missing some components. Treasure Planet is one of my favourite Disney films of all time and deserves more recognition. After watching the film again, I decided I’d make a 3D model of Jim’s Solar Board.
Originally I had wanted to animate it so that it folded down but after modelling and texturing, I just had to show it off.
This model uses a single 1024 texture map, along with a normal map, specular map and an alpha map and is made up of 2,820 tris 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 2676 polygons.

This is a model of a low-poly and game-ready scifi spaceship.
The weapons are separate meshes and can be animated with a keyframe animation tool. The weapon loadout can be changed too.
The model has several modular parts for bridge, engine and side modules. These parts can be changed to create different looking ships.
This model has optional maneuvering thrusters for newtonian physics based movement. They do fit on other ships too.
The model comes with several differently colored texture sets. The PSD file with intact layers is included.
Please note: The textures in the Sketchfab viewer have a reduced resolution (2K instead of 4K) to improve Sketchfab loading speed.
