Powstanie Warszawskie rozpoczęło się 1 sierpnia 1944 roku w Warszawie i było największym zrywem niepodległościowym podczas II wojny światowej. Było częścią większej operacji militarnej Armii Krajowej o kryptonimie „Burza”. Wybuch powstania oficjalnie zaplanowano na godzinę 17:00, którą określono, jako godzinę „W”. Powstanie trwało aż 63 dni, kończąc się 2 października 1944 roku. Powstańcy broń i amunicję zdobywali na przeciwniku, a braki uzupełniali bronią z konspiracyjnych zakładów – produkowano miotacze ognia, butelki zapalające, pistolety maszynowe „Błyskawica” oraz granaty („sidolówki” i „filipinki”). Powstańcy nie mieli też jednolitych mundurów. Walczyli w ubraniach cywilnych lub zdobycznych mundurach niemieckich. Po tygodniach heroicznej walki zginęło od 16 tys. do 18 ty żołnierzy AK i do 180 tys. cywilów (ok. 60 tyś. zamordowanych podczas tzw. rzezi Woli w dniach 5-12 sierpnia 1944 r.). What is the origin of the custom of wearing this small brimless skullcap by Jewish men atop their head? The practice of covering only the crown of one’s head is not rooted in any Biblical or Talmudic precepts. Instead, its foundation lies in the description of the clothes of a high priest (Exodus 28:4, 36-39) or in the traditional headwear of Talmudic scholars in Babylonia.

In ancient Assyria, hunting lions was considered the sport of kings, symbolic of the ruling monarch’s duty to protect and fight for his people. The sculpted reliefs in Room 10a illustrate the sporting exploits of the last great Assyrian king, Ashurbanipal (668–631 BC) and were created for his palace at Nineveh (in modern-day northern Iraq).
The hunt scenes, full of tension and realism, rank among the finest achievements of Assyrian Art. They depict the release of the lions, the ensuing chase and subsequent killing.

“La nave de las palomas torcaces” es una tumba de carácter colectivo exclusiva de la isla de Menorca. Se trata de una construcción ciclópea de la prehistoria menorquina en 1200 y 750 a.C. En su interior se encontraron mas de 100 personas junto con sus objetos funerarios. Las dimensiones de la Naveta son aproximado de 14.5m de largo, un ancho de 6.5m y una altura de 4.55m.
“La nave de las palomas torcaces” is a collective tomb exclusive to the island of Menorca. It is a cyclopean construction from the Menorcan prehistory in 1200 and 750 B.C. Inside, more than 100 people were found along with their funerary objects.
