I made this model in 2016, to practice modeling shapes and creating procedural materials. It was decent work at the time, but I revisited it in 2022 to give it a proper mesh/material cleanup and see how much I could improve it. This is the result! Some of it could definitely still take a little more attention, but overall I'm happy with where it ended up. It's a cool ode to the infamous Piranha Plant from Super Mario Bros. 🍄 My stylised Mushroom Lighthouse 3D model for my first ever #SketchfabWeeklyChallenge! I was inspired by fairy tales, cartoons and such. I wanted to make something really different and unique around the theme and I’m pretty happy with how this turned out. Modelled in Maya. Textures hand-painted in Photoshop. 🍄
