This is the Oculus Mining Laser. It's a prototype equipment used to mine rock and materials in a safer way. The tool was unfortunately rejected by government officials due to the high cost to build multiple models of this tool. The Oculus Mining Laser is also a lethal laser as it can pierce through multiple bodies, two safeties had to be installed in order for it to be used in a safe environment. A key to turn on the laser and a pump to open or close the laser eye in the front. The laser uses a special battery called ‘EZ-A Charger'. It can generate a laser beam for around 2000 kilowatts before it requires a new battery 3D Model is ready to download for free

This is a Ray Gun I made for my class at Edinburgh College. We were asked to produce a weapon with a Retro-Futuristic style.
After initially completing the Gold Variant, I decided to create an additional skin with a different colour scheme. I had a lot of fun creating this small & self-contained piece. I hope to continue expanding upon and improving it in the near-future.
Mesh was created with Blender 2.79.
Marmoset Toolbag 3.04 and Substance Painter 2018 were used for Baking & Texturing.
