This is a personal project. I was given permission from Steve Prescott, an Illustrator and Concept Artist, to use one of his character concepts for this 3D project. This is a character out of the digital card game called Soul Spark. It's been a wonderful journey and I'm sincerely pleased as to how it turned out in the end. This bad guy is heavily inspired by Moebius (Jean Giraud) ‘s amazing arts. More specifically the Pantechno guild from the comic book “L’Incal”. Of all the characters that I created and modelled, he’s probably the one with the most design changes. But in the end, I am quite happy with this design. Closing the gig! Portfolio piece!
I started out by sculpting, planning to do a typical PBR texture-job - but ended up handpainting the entire thing instead, to give it that disney feel.
Body could probably have a reduced polycount, but as I’m not planning to rig her, I figured I’d keep her smooth as-is.
This was a lot of fun to do, and very educational.
Made In zBrush, Blender, 3dCoat and Photoshop.
