The Soviet RG-42 (Ручная Граната образца 42 года > Ruchnaya Granata obraztsa 42 goda, “Hand Grenade pattern of [19]42 year”) was a fragmentation grenade designed by S.G. Korshunov.[1]
It was originally introduced during World War II from 1942 onwards as an emergency measure to replace the complex RGD-33 grenade. It continued in use with the USSR and its Warsaw Pact allies in the post-war period until replaced in 1954 by the RGD-5 grenade. Stockpiles were held for emergency or reserve issue, military aid, or foreign sales. They were eventually destroyed in the 1980s due to the TNT filling degrading and becoming unsafe.
Unlike the RGD-33, the RG-42’s components were simple to produce and assemble. Only the fuze required specialized manufacture and the parts could be easily assembled by hand by cottage labor. Formula 1 car modelled in stunning detail to accurately represent the new generation of F1 cars for the 2022 season. This model features the Aston Martin livery as seen on the 2022 Aston Martin AMR22 car. The model includes a fully rigged and animated DRS rear wing, removable wheels and removable front wing (see images below). The high resolution model has been baked into an optimised mesh for easy rendering and game engine use. The model is subdivision-ready with 4k textures.
The additional files include the asset as FBX, OBJ and STL file formats. Also included is the original Blender file with all of the individual parts used for modelling the asset. I’ve also added extra textures for different Pirelli tyre compounds (soft, medium and hard).

The use of venturi tunnels along the floor of the car will see the return of the 1970’s innovation known as ground effect, producing a huge amount downforce and reducing the need for complicated overbody aerodynamic surfaces which hinder the airflow for cars behind.
