My entry for the Sketchfab/3D-Coat challenge themed ‘Robot Animals'. This model is based on an older, non-robotic version I made several years ago. The “Hotel of Kings”, Berengaria Hotel.
The Berengaria Hotel opened its doors in 1931 and closed down in 1984. It now stands desolate, derelict and its stone structure is beginning to crumble. During its time, it was the hidden jewel of the mountains as it was a luxurious hotel hosting visitors such as Pharouk, the King of Egypt and Ezer Vaisman president of Israel as well as top businessmen of the time. It was a mountain resort with a casino, night club and had state of the art furniture and decor.
What makes the Berebgaria Hotel appealing is its peculiar hostory. The hotel closed down due to bad business and huge profit loss but underlying stories uncover secrets within the family. It was said that the original owner, after having built a hotel himself with an international presence and reputation, left the hotel to his three sons. Rapunzel is a German fairy tale recorded by the Brothers Grimm and first published in 1812 as part of Children’s and Household Tales. The Author’s story is an adaptation of the fairy tale Rapunzel by Friedrich Schulz (1790) that was a translation of Persinette (1698) by Charlotte-Rose de Caumont de La Force, which was itself influenced by an earlier Italian tale, Petrosinella (1634), by Giambattista Basile

It was my long left idea to created this scene.
I wanted to show the tower, castle and the lanterns flying above.

A Sci-Fi Worker Robot character, created with Blender and rendered in Eevee. This model will also look great in the Cycles render engine.
This is the tutorial result of my Sci-Fi Worker Robot character. The robots materials are using a mix of some procedural nodes, and some textures. The model is not rigged with bones, it is mechanically rigged, using the object origins, parenting objects, and using object transform locking. See the product video for more info.
Note: When purchased, you will get two different versions of the robot: The tutorial result, and the other version I created before filming the tutorial.
