The MBAR .45-70 is more or less exactly what it sounds like. A modernized (ca. 1980) BAR chambered in .45-70 Govt. Here featuring an under-slung M203 grenade launcher and a 60 round drum magazine, the MBAR was capable 500 rounds per minute, assuming the operator could handle the intense recoil. The weighted barrel extension and included bi-pod helped to mitigate this drawback but even so the MBAR was more bucking bronco than thoroughbred. The labels enjoy a beautiful glossy effect and the bottle features many embossments including the iconic Bacardi brand bat on the back.
The story goes that the wife of the brand’s founder, Doña Amalia Bacardi, once saw fruit bats (a species of fruit bat sometimes also called “flying fox”) in the family distillery. She took the animals as a sign of luck, and then, thanks to her thought, they become the emblem of the family business.
