Hello! It's been awhile so I thought I'd create this little asset in my spare time (as i'm working on a lot of secret stuff for Rust). I really enjoy making these types of weapons, they're so unique and quirky - It was a perfect asset for my limited free time as my wife has recently had a baby. It took about 6 or 7 hours to create with slight deviations from the actual ref for my own personal preference. The Nagant M1895 was chambered for a proprietary cartridge, 7.62×38mmR, and featured an unusual “gas-seal” system, in which the cylinder moved forward when the gun was cocked, to close the gap between the cylinder and the barrel, providing a boost to the muzzle velocity of the bullet and allowing the weapon to be suppressed (an unusual characteristic for a revolver).

This is my own recreation of the 454 Casull from Hellsing! The form overall is fairly simple, but I had some difficulty with this mostly from the dificulty in finding consistent references, even with official art from both the OVA and original series of Hellsing and snipits from the Manga, this gun has a lot of subtle inconsistencies. One such inconsistency is the squareness of the slide. I had seen official art where the slide takes on a shape more similar to a 1911 pistol, but in other art and in the OVA, the slide appears more square and in some cases even appears to have plates on the side and top. So some details I tried going for a middle ground of the differences I had come across.
Fairly happy with how this came out, I feel it’s fairly accurate, or at least as accurate as I can get considering the inconsistent source materials lol
