Finished this lil guy in honor of my favorite time of the year!! This was made as practice for a live demo I will be giving current students at the college I graduated from. How exciting and flattering it was to be asked to give a demo!! :') I modeled and UVed this guy in Maya, textured in Substance Painter. I drew this creepy guy a few months back as part of a series of robots with interesting shapes I was doodling. He seemed like a fun little thing to throw a quick animation on too so I modeled him up and did a simple looping animation. I may make a version 2 where I replace the engine-coil-thing in the center with a horrible cage where he can store the children he’s trapped with his terrifying, spindly hands. Spent too much time modelling and rigging the skeleton and run out of time for some features i had in mind.
All made in Blender 2.90
Edit: I finally completed after a month of working on my spare time.
I changed the house for a more cartoony style. Been playing with the shader node editor to give the house more personality with procedural textures.
