A low poly Skipray Blastboat, from the Star Wars expanded universe / Legends. This older imperial ship featured a rotating wing, and in the post-OT era more often than not appeared with in rusty brown tones, often operated by bounty hunters or pirates, so I’ve included 2 different colorschemes with this one, aas well as a cockpit interior.
I followed the top view proportions and scale of the original design, but I was curious to try a more streamlined look, with the front wings better integrated into the fuselage. I made a few other changes and also swapped on a turret inspired by the imperial troop transport as seen in The Mandalorian. The old official model was called a GAT-12 Skipray Blastboat, you could think of this as a slightly more lightly armed GAT-10 design, better at atmospheric flight. Still instantly recognizable by any EU fan! Lowpoly model of german concept fighter/bomber plane from WW2
The Horten Ho 229 was a German prototype fighter/bomber initially designed by Horten brothers to be built by Gothaer Waggonfabrik late in World War II. It was the first flying wing to be powered by jet engines.
The design was a response to H. Göring’s call for light bomber designs capable of meeting the “3×1000” requirement; namely, to carry 1,000 kilograms of bombs a distance of 1000 kilometres with a speed of 1000 kph. Only jets could provide the speed, but these were extremely fuel-hungry, so considerable effort had to be made to meet the range requirement. Its ceiling was 15,000 metres.
