  Bo WIP 01 3D Model 2026-06-22
A new kobold sculpt based on a redesign of kobolds I did a while back. Trying to steer away from the raptor-like look of my last model and go for a more dog-like face. I feel the torso still looks too human, but he'll have a more animalistic stance if I ever get this model rigged. This particular kobold is named Bo, hopefully we'll be seeing more of him in the future. I plan to retopologize him in Maya, then do a detail pass in ZBrush to add in scales and wrinkles and such. This was sculpted in Sculptris.

I started this sculpt a while ago. I decided to retopolise it so that I could texture it in Substance Painter. It was a great exercise to test the possibilities of PBR textures.
