The main intention behind this gun was to make it look old, rugged and intimidating, combining these to give an old-school feel. The mechanism of this gun is similar to a modern minigun, the body holds the magazine on hooks which makes reloading a slow task. The style of holding the gun is tacky due to that it makes the gun a bit unstable for the user giving it a hard recoil momentum and an old-school feeling. The gun has two gauge meters one indicating the temperature and another one showing the amount of remaining bullets in the magazine. I wanted to try a colour scheme different from the basic steampunk colours (Golden/Brown), to make it look different from other weapons. This model is; Low poly, Specially made for games, Made in Maya, Used in Maya and Unreal engine. It works, Textured in substance painter, Draw calls count 1, unwrapped.
An advice for Unreal engine. When import the model, make sure to check the combine mesh to get it in one piece, and uncheck “transform vertex to absolute” to avoid any problem.
