Abu Simbel RAMSES II Temple 3D Model 2023-11-05
The Great Temple at Abu Simbel, which took about twenty years to build, was completed around year 24 of the reign of Ramesses the Great (which corresponds to 1265 BC). It was dedicated to the gods Amun, Ra-Horakhty, and Ptah, as well as to the deified Ramesses himself. It is generally considered the grandest and most beautiful of the temples commissioned during the reign of Ramesses II, and one of the most beautiful in Egypt.

With the passage of time, the temples fell into disuse and eventually became covered by sand. By the 6th century BC, the sand already covered the statues of the main temple up to their knees. The temple was forgotten until 1813, when Swiss researcher Johann Ludwig Burckhardt found the top frieze of the main temple. Burckhardt talked about his discovery with Italian explorer Giovanni Belzoni, who travelled to the site, but was unable to dig out an entry to the temple. Belzoni returned in 1817, this time succeeding in his attempt to enter the complex 3d model

Made with a remote dataset with many blurry and not sharp photos. Creation process was focused on reducing the blur and sharpness using deep learning models to improve quality on the source images. The same process was applied to the final resulting texture of the model to increase even more the sharpness of it. A model of a head of (possibly) Rameses II. This is made of red granite and dates to around 1250 BC. You can read more about this dynasty here. Do you want to capture something in 3D? Wooden coffin of pharaoh Ramses II in the Egyptian Museum, Cairo, Egypt (CG 61020). This is the wooden coffin in which the mummified remains of Ramses II were found when it was recovered as part of the Royal Mummy Cache in tomb DB320. His tomb had been opened in antiquity and his mummy removed from its original coffin, rewrapped and placed in this reused coffin before being reburied. It has been argued that this wooden coffin was originally made to house the remains of pharaoh Horemheb, before being reused for the reburial of Ramses II 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 1162544 polygons.
