This tower has long since been abandoned by its former occupants and lies in ruin. I used the Warhammer 40k models Witchfate Tor and Dreadstone Blight as my main references for the design of the tower. I started this model in Maya, blocking in all the shapes. Then I moved to ZBrush and sculpted in detail. In hindsight, I wish I had made this a more modular blockout because I ran out of time sculpting each individual piece. After I had sculpted enough to finish baking my Game Res mesh I moved to texturing in Substance Painter. It took a bit of time to get my UV’s laid out well enough to have the resolution I wanted, and I ended up going from 1 texture set to 2 in order to achieve the level of detail I wanted. Game-Ready Stylized Tower
In this model, I wanted to make a game-ready asset with as low-poly as possible, and I was able to make the whole scene under 11,500 triangles while doing this, I took care to stay as the concept as possible.
I used two textures in the model. one for the Tower itself and the other for the bushes and grasses.
The model was made in Maya and the sculpt was made in Blender, the textures were done in Substance Painter and Photoshop. Rendered in Blender and composited in DaVinci Resolve.
