Tried out a new workflow with this piece, which is starting off with a base mesh in Zbrush, sculpt all details, bake the Diffuse and AO in Substance Painter, add Color Gradients to the Diffuse and use that as a base for my Handpainted texture! I learned a lot in the process in regards to zBrush and polishing my Handpainted skills when its about metal and cloth. But I also realised that I end up changing things up a lot in the final stage, which means I still rely a lot on my handpainting! Any tips for me to apply to future models?
This stylized axe was made with a very small amount of polygons to be used in game engines without any problem. Its 1024x1024 texture was hand painted on the substance painter and is mirrored.
If you want change the axe texture, you can edit the photoshop file! There you can separately edit the details, the Ambient occlusion, the color and the black and white painting
