This is an old model from circa 2000ish I made for racing games of that era (PS2). I was curious to see how something I made 20 years ago would hold up in the Sketchfab renderer. I am pretty pleased with the results overall.
This model was made before i knew a lot of tricks in modelling, such as using billboards to do details like badges. There was no normal mapping back then either…

The bare chassis was ordered from Detroit through the Edelweiss Garage – being the local Cadillac dealer in Morges, beside Lausanne, Switzerland – by Philippe Barraud, son of William Barraud and nephew of William’s brother, Maurice, both wealthy Swiss industrialist who had “built” their fortune in red bricks and roofing tiles.
Philippe had a local Swiss coachbuilder, Willy Hartmann of Lausanne, create and build for him a custom 2-pass roadster on the V16 chassis. He used the car intermittently between 1937 and the early 60s. I have included base (unsmoothed) and smoothed (as seen here) versions of the vehicle in OBJ, FBX, and Maya 2020.4 formats, as well as various textures to tinker with. Please see the readme if smoothing the base version of the model, as there are a few nodes (named in the readme) that do not really need smoothing. They weren’t really built for smoothing and will yield odd results without some added edgeloops). The interior is mostly detailed for exterior renders and not meant for close ups just so you know.
The Maya 2020.4 file is set up to render with the Arnold Renderer plugin. All you will need to do is supply your own HDR image for the envLight.
