This is my diorama for the 3D1 final assignment in Howest Digital Arts & Entertainment. The goal was to create a low poly scene based on a selected storyline using Maya and Photoshop.
At the end of an overgrown road in the English countryside lives grandma in her lovely stone cottage. She spends a lot of her time outside, tending to her flowers in the old greenhouse, doing daily chores and enjoying tea time while telling stories to her beloved animals. This semi stylized character was a LOT of work. Like for real. I had a lot of fun though! Especially the texturing process really brought her to shine! I did struggle quite a lot with the face though, and it still didn’t quite turn out as I wanted it to. However, I think it turned out neat overall.
