This project was probably one of the more complex models I’ve done. I first worked on the handle of the saber first since that’s where all the detail resides. Throughout the modeling process, I would always forget to model a certain component after laying out UVs and textures, so I will have to go back and model it in. The model comes in 3 versions :
One FBX with a skeleton+skin+animation samples
One FBX without a skeleton (so you can import it in maya/3dsmax/blender…etc and rig/skin it yourself)

The FBX is made to be used in realtime game engines and uses custom vertices normals (MIKK Tangent space)
Maps consists in 1 2K UVset, and uses combined map channels to reduce drawcalls (better performances)
