A building built by the Romans during their occupation of Britain (43 - 410 CE) - typical of a town house in Londinium (Roman London) - established in 47 - 50 CE. The house would have been abandoned when the Romans left Britain and would have started to fall into disrepair but may have become occupied by early Anglo Saxons in the 5th or 6th Century.
