This is a diorama inspired by one of Florian Dreyer's concepts I found on Artstation called ‘Candy Farm Building'. I loved the colours and textures from the concept and really enjoyed creating it in 3D. I'm really enjoying creating these small diorama's with handpainted textures so I'm sure there will be more coming soon. I used Maya for the modelling and Substance and Photoshop for texturing. I also created a small scene in UE4 which you can see on my Artstation post (link below). Since YuGiOh MasterDuel was released I instantly fell back in love with the cardgame I grew up with 😍 At first it was hard to catch up with the fastpaced playstyle nowadays, but its still a blast - no better way to pay Tribute than recreating the bossmonster of the deck I’m currently using ✌
The modelling was a very good practice for situations, where the references aren’t necesserily angled perfectly. This way, you definitely have to look at your model from all different angles all the time. But the project definitely deepened my love for creating Anime-Like / NPR Models iand give them my own touch.
