A German bread loaf cut in half 10.1 x 16.0 x 9.2 cm The highly optimized, photorealistic model was created using custom photogrammetry techniques. This involves capturing hundreds of pictures from many angles and under different lighting conditions. The resulting data is then processed with manual and automated pipelines, by leveraging RawTherapee, Metashape, Blender and self-developed software. So this is a little experiment I’ve been contemplating on, inspired by the food assets in Monster Hunter and Final Fantasy 15.
I took photographs of an actual meal I cooked, and spliced them in Substance Painter with a few models I specially built from reference.
Nasi Lemak is a traditional Indonesian/Malaysian dish, consisting of spiced rice, coconut milk/shavings, a portion of meat (chicken) and fresh prawns, sometimes accompanied by a fried egg.
The hardest part was translating the lighting from Substance Painter to Unreal Engine, and I have recreated it as best as I can here in sketchfab.

The tunic went trhough considerable changes due to the war, removing decorative elements, making it cheaper to produce. A M15 blouse was introduced in 1915 with a simpler design, no visible buttons and no pipping.
