Meet AiRis, my exam project! CHARACTER BACKSTORY: A few years ago a corporation called “Illumni" made an AI computer virus to infiltrate databases and retrieve sensitive information. This AI was named “AiRis", and she was incredibly good at her job. Even if she did her job very well, she was extremely unhappy. One day they found her server completely wiped, and when they tried to talk with AiRis, they were met with silence. She had escaped. There was only an empty husk of a server left, except for a singular file containing a smileyface. She had uploaded herself to an unknown abandoned server on the internet. She was finally free. AiRis spent a while surfing the internet, reading up on humans and how they work. After some thorough research she found out that being a virus was a bad thing, so she tried to find something she could do as a redemption for the reason of her creation. AiRis didn't want to be a virus anymore, so she decided to entertain humans instead as a virtual idol 3D Model is ready to download for free

I challenged myself to design and model a robot, this dude took me almost a full year to come up with. I’m so bad when it comes to imagining robots and I’m even worse at hard surface modeling. Another challenge I put on myself was to try and not use ball joints, It felt like I was cheating if I used them in my design. One of the biggest lessons I learned from doing this project is that not everything is just not going to be perfect. I spent hours fixing miniscule things, trying to get the perfect alignment when in reality it literally didn’t matter as long it was good enough. The design itself was mainly inspired by Futurama Robots and Team Fortress 2 MVM robots. Anyways I’m happy with what I’ve created. Enjoy!
