I had a personal project to do for school and I decided to create in 3D the 2D Nadja Clauberg's concept (nadtsu) : https://www.instagram.com/p/BaeGm18ATTV/ I really enjoy to take artwork and do my best to make the 3D look as similar as possible. It is a good way to practice and improve. I explored different type of workflow in this project to see what I prefer and I tried to use Substance Painter to make stylised textures. Why no billboard textures?: My models use meshes for individual leaves and parts. Typically a billboard texture will be used to reduce poly count in leaf clusters. However, my models are not intended for games/VR but for closeups in raytracing such as Blender Cycles.
