I got a drone! To celebrate I drove to “the gorge" a stretch of the I-15 freeway between Saint George, Utah, and Mesquite, Nevada to take a scan of a giant sandstone structure that I've always admired from afar. The drone was a birthday present to me from my soulmate. To celebrate my brithday I am leaving this 3d model as free! Here you go world. Software used: Agisoft Photoscan, RAW photo editor, Blender,Instant Meshes and Substance Painter.
Mesh:
The Original Scan had around 22M faces/triangles and was decimated to around 4.5M before baking a normal map from it.
The Lowpoly has 20K triangles.
Texture: the texture in the preview is an 8K texture, i’ve also made a 2k and 4k texture.
If you want a good view of the scan’s quality, check the ‘Matcap+Surface’ option in the model inspector.
Remember you can adjust the lighting by holding ALT + Left mouse button.
