This was modeled for the Activeworlds entry world project, and was designed mostly as a contiki style stand for where the on-duty gate keeper would stand when a new user enterd the new entry world for there first time, it would be featured close by ready to help provide assistance.
These were instead installed for other promoting features. and featured custom text signage.

The India Gate is a war memorial located astride the Rajpath, on the eastern edge of the “ceremonial axis” of New Delhi. It stands as a memorial to 90,000 soldiers of the British Indian Army who died between 1914 and 1921 in the First World War, in France, Flanders, Mesopotamia, Persia, East Africa, Gallipoli and elsewhere in the Near and the Far East, and the Third Anglo-Afghan War.
The memorial-gate was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, who was not only the main architect of New Delhi, but also a member of the Imperial War Graves Commission and one of Europe’s foremost designers of war graves and memorials.
