🎨🐱 Captured moments in pixels and colors! Here is the result of my latest 3D modeling project inspired by the lovely illustration by Teressa Ong @chopsticksroad. I’ve turned the scene of the little boy and his cat into a three-dimensional artwork, aiming to capture the magic of watercolors and colored pencils. I used Maya for modeling and Substance Painter to bring the textures to life. A low poly Zeta-class shuttle, as seen in Rogue One and Jedi: Fallen Order! My most detailed texture yet. This model is probably about 85% accurate, although I’ve gone for a more standard imperial gray to match the Lambda shuttle, rather than the black and orange we first saw in Rogue One. Fits in really well with the rest of the Empire’s fleet.
The wings and laser cannon turrets are all separate objects with the correct pivot points to rotate into flight mode. A few areas are very slightly simplified to keep the polycount low, and everything uses the same 2048x2048 textures. It also has a rough cockpit interior just with some glowing lights to add a bit of depth, but if you want to save performance you can delete it and make the windows opaque. Enjoy! Saya Sasamiya is one of the main characters of the Asterisk War series, she wields various Luxes/guns in particular her weapons of choice are her pistols. Throughout the series she is often seen as quite the drowsy individual but she is much sharper than she may initially seem unless if we’re talking about her sense of direction of course.

In hindsight I’m somewhat satisfied with the end result but it could use quite a bit of optimization all things considered and the hair texturing certainly could use some extra work but I’m happy with the final result anyhow and am confident that I will be able to improve bit by bit in due time.

I wanted to make a new hellenic thing, but then realised that this may be original Roman design - at least I found no evidence of greek origins of the design. It’s still doric though!
This model is based on the sarcophagus of Lucius Cornelius Scipio Barbatus (clearly a roman guy), and here is the fun fact - the inscription on the tablet was once redone, most likely by one of the relatives of Scipio.
So I changed the text a bit with some lines from the movie “Blood & Concrete: A Love Story” - since Romans really loved concrete, which they called opus caementicium 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 34609 polygons.
