Pretty long and arduous project - especially on the technical side. I tried very hard to make a mesh that’s optimized but still with sufficient triangles to remain pretty. I was aiming for around 30k tris, and while i slightly overshot, it’s still a personal W for me. A lot of learning in this one.
In the end it’s totally worth it to see my fella all grumpy and wobbling in 3D space. There’s really nothing like making something from scratch, from concept to engine, all by yourself. Feels good !

Like most people, I am a fan of Autumn, and wanted to combine my recent photogrammetry work with something seasonal. This was created from an actual pumpkin with photogrammetry. I photographed and processed the gourd in Metashape to create a hipoly models from which the textures were baked.
