You can see many pine needles, they are long shape varieties,Although a lot of pine needles are dropped, most of the pine trees still retain green pine needles in winter.
In terms of materials, I recommend the AO map to be around 0.5 to cover up some imperfections when the AO map is baked. And make it not look very dark in deep holes. Made a separate vanilla minecraft build using similar technique on making trees and plants from my previous cambodian build. Wanted to share this to show how detailed forest can be without using any resourcepacks and mods.
Used a lot of floating / combined plants for detailing. And also some biome coloring for green color variations (doesn’t show on this preview, but ingame)
Also testing out realistic plant shading in sketchfab (using minecraft lol)

The base idea for this scene is a task from one of VK’s Blender learning groups. But because the course itself is paid, I just used several final renders from other students as a references. So my scene is my implementation of this idea: small house in a woods, made with lowpoly technic. In my implementation it’s nowadays time, thus I added a car and electric-like lights inside. Making this project from ground zero took about 10 hours. In this project I used texture paint mode and mirroring modifier for the first time. Lowpoly modeling is a new topic for me, so I like the result I got, with using minimum of textured surfaces.
The ground texture is hand-painted mix of several good and free textures, I found all over the Pinterest.
Some of building’s textures are also come from Pinterest. The bricks are come from @scadl
