My take on Sonya Blade. I made this as a combination of multiple ideas/designs/characters that I wanted to do but would not have time to make them separately. I wanted to make a version of Sonya but also wanted to make some exo-suit, some military type of character etc, so I saved me the trouble and put everything together. Plus, I wanted to make a reference to Sonya’s MK3 outfit mixed with a new design.
After all, Sonya using an exo-suit made sense to me, considering that her friend, Jax, has cybernetic arms. However, she didn’t want exactly the same thing. The exo-suit is heavily based on Elysium’s exo-suit 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 78217 polygons.

This is a warm-up, start of the year model I worked on to refresh working with the Substance Suite. It was straightforward to start with the existing material library, where I adjusted various settings to achieve this specific plastic finsh. I enjoyed researching and finding authentic logos, as well as identical to the original fonts. To apply custom fonts and text, I created Font asset in Substance Designer then published it for use across the suite. Hard surface project I did from a concept of Sheng Lam.
In this project, I tried to make the result to be as close as possible as the concept and the most realistic possible as well.
For the parts that are not in the concept, I tried to match the general style of the whole with details that still are hard surface and color matching with the drawing.
The walkman is 33k polys and the tapes are 17k polys (3 to 5k polys each) for a total of 55k polys.
