Bronze statue of most likely Zeus, scanned at the Museum of Classical Archaeology in Cambridge, UK. Based on a 67x12MP dataset shot on a 1/2.3" sensor in March 2017. According to most scholars, the bronze represents Zeus, the thunder-god and king of gods, though it has also been suggested it might represent Poseidon. The statue is slightly over lifesize at 209 cm, and would have held either a thunderbolt, if Zeus, or a trident if Poseidon. The empty eye-sockets were originally inset, probably with bone, as well as the eyebrows (with silver), the lips, and the nipples (with copper). The sculptor is unknown. This is my first human character in a realisitc style I made for a school exam. We had to make a character from a celebrity, I choose my favorite actor Mads Mikkelsen and decided to turn him into a gentleman thief a bit like Arsene Lupin.
I used zbrush for the high poly sculpt and the low poly
3D coat and maya for the Uv’s, skinning and export setup
Substance painter for the texturing
I also integreted my character into a UE4 scene
It was super great to make and I learn a lot from it, even if I’m not really satisfied since the concept is kind of simple, I wasn’t to confident for making a complexe character because I’m still a beginer, but with all the things I learned the next one will be much better.
This version has no pose and no hat and mask for a better view of the details of the face.
