In 2017 this unique piece was auctioned by a Anglo-Irish family from Co. Meath. Initally purchased by a US based collector, the item could not be transported as it is made of ivory. The decendents of the original owners rediscovered it in a draw and put it up for auction.The ivory was obtained in the 1840s, and , and laster carved in China around 1899-1900 during the Boxer Rebellion. The auctioneer noted “This was a very enlightened family, and this would have been a very loving gift from a husband to wife. You can see that because the level of detail is incredible, down to the folds of the skin. Hello there! I’m very happy to present my first project in Substance Painter and with full PBR textures that is game-ready. The second coffin of three of Yuya from his tomb in Egypt’s Valley of the Kings (KV46). The tomb was discovered in 1905 by James Quibell and contained the partially looted burials of Yuya and his wife Thuya of the 18th Dynasty. Yuya and Thuya were non-royal nobles and the parents of Queen Tiye who was the Great Royal Wife of Amenhotep III and mother of Akhenaten. The coffin is currently in the Egyptain Museum, Cairo, Egypt. Created from 237 photographs (Canon EOS Rebel T5i) using Metashape 1.5.5.
