Hello! This is my entry for the #StorybookChallenge.
Since I was a kid I always dreamed of being an astronaut and I read a lot of books about space.
For this challenge I teamed up with my girlfriend, who is a professional childern’s book illustrator, to recreate my desire to touch the stars.
With this entry we wanted to pay homage to all the authors and illustrators that make all the childrens dream big with their books.
All the modelling was based on her illustration, created on Maya and then hand painted on Substance Painter by me.

Hello! I revisited Claw machine’s draft after getting feedback about trasnitions and details, but design was updated mostly due to my freind’s and my new ideas and thoughts for this model and for our project. We decided to make it more stylised, chunky and relevant for the planned project, early on I imagined that cabinet is metalic with planks’ pattern drawn on but I decided to make it made out of actual wooden planks that reinforce the idea of barn-like arcade machine. I also refined shapes and details and their transitions, now it should be ok for model’s draft. I remember when i watched Tangled, The scene that left the deepest impression on me was this scene, the floating lights, the reflection in contrast to the dark of the night and the calm of the lake, it took my breath away and i didn’t even notice they already started singing.
I guess it might be cool to recreate scenes i like in order to also study the reasons i like them :)
