Decided to go wayyy out of my comfort zone with a fully handpainted model… and I'm pretty happy with it! The process took me much longer than expected, too, but better late then never hah. I was obviously inspired by Zelda, so I wanted to make it a small contribution to that as well. And it was a good wood painting exercise! Credits to rommalart for the model and Jasmin for the retopo! Despite having a nightmare (aka losing all my texturing the night before!) I tried to work through it and still get my submission done in time, and I’m really pleased with the results! This was an area I wasn’t very confident in (sculpting especially) and so I’ve learnt tons this last week! I’m hoping to be more involved in future challenges as I enjoyed this one tons!

It’s been a while since my last upload! This is my stab at a Gameboy Advance SP.
This is my first released model made using a weighted normal workflow. Typically I would make the geometry and bake in any necessary bevels using the bevel node in Blender but this time it’s all actual geometry!
This model is game ready, though be warned it is fairly high poly for what it is.
34,500k Tris for the main system and about 2500k tris for each cartridge.
The extra attached file contains the blend file I made this in as well as all the necessary textures.
