For this school assignment, the theme was “pirate ship”; the teacher wanted us to learn how to use 2 materials for 1 object. As I am a fan of more organic designs and mythology in general, I went with a stylized viking boat. For the shapes and the style, I was inspired by a game franchise that is dear to me: The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. As for the textures, I tried to replicate a hand-painting feeling using masks and filters within Substance Painter. This project was suprisingly very fun to do!
