Testing exporting from 3ds Max using CAT for rigging / animation into SketchFab. Curious to see if I can get Embergen to create VFX for this (working with Embergen beta currently) TONS of room for improvement, a W.I.P. The best solution I found (with 3ds Max) was using the Game Exporter twice (export, then re-import, then export again). The wing flapping animation has a bit of an unwanted wiggle to it. I’m not 100% happy with the rig but so far it works well , the axes recognize the animation path, steering works and everything is on rail.

Same model just trying out a realistic whispery look.
I have visited and revisited the hair model so many times, played around with so many settings, and with UE producing really realistic results, it seems like a waste of time. Although this hair is generated by brushed and styled hair curves, then using a hair card generator to make the thicker mass and finally my procedural hair for the strands. It went from bald to this in less than 2 hours, and most of the time is fiddling with the parameters in sketchfab. The UVs are also procedurally generated.
The main difference between this and the other recently release version is that I tweaked it to have more hairs at the roots, and fewer at the ends. Seems very obvious but the nature of the geo closes at the ends, and with UVs generated evenly, it has the reverse effect.
I admit if more time is spent on brushing the hair, and inserting extra cards down the parting I will get better coverage. Other parameters are in the works so I can have fewer polygons 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 78830 polygons.
