B1 Battle Droids were fourth class battle droids manufactured by Baktoid Combat Automata and Baktoid Armour Workshop, and were the successors to the OOM-series battle droids. Widely used by the Confederacy of Independent Systems, these battle droids were flimsy and easy to destroy, but deadly in large numbers. Following the defeat of the Confederacy, B1 battle droids were deactivated by the Galactic Empire along with the rest of the droid army, although they were still used throughout Seperatist holdouts and the black market during the Age of the Empire. The Scorpenek droid was a model of droid utilized for combat. The Pyke Syndicate deployed two of these units during the battle for Mos Espa. They were armed with four laser cannons mounted in pairs on either side of its body. Scorpenek droids were equipped with a nearly impervious deflector shield that enveloped it completely, protecting the droid from virtually all conventional weaponry.
This droids appears in episode 7 of The Book of Boba Fett. Boba Fett and Din Jarin(The Mandalorian) confronted two droids on Tatooine. Thanks to Grogu and Rancor, both hostile droids were destroyed.
