I tried very hard to make a mesh that's optimized but still with sufficient triangles to remain pretty. I was aiming for around 30k tris, and while i slightly overshot, it's still a personal W for me. A lot of learning in this one. In the end it's totally worth it to see my fella all grumpy and wobbling in 3D space. There's really nothing like making something from scratch, from concept to engine, all by yourself. My submission for the second GameArt assignment at DAE Howest. A lot of struggle in the design phase led to a lot of difficulties and mistakes. I didn’t think this would lead to anything good, but i stuck with the few things i had thought out and it came out pretty okay in my opinion. I learned a huge amount however and feel way more comfortable now going into the final assignment!
