Prompted by the lovely staff here at Sketchfab, I have decided to research a bit more about the pistol this model is based on, and boy was it a fun read!

Known as the Apache Knuckle-duster (Up-Pash) for the Parisian fighters, called Apaches, that colonized the French capital starting in 1875.
