Playing Alien Isolation recently inspired me to start working on my own Nostromo interior in Unity 5, great practise for super detailed hard surface environments and poly-count budgets. These are the walls of the Hypersleep stasis chamber, the first model I've made for the interior so far. I think it's turning out okay so far. After playing some Alien: Isolation I just had to make this model. After a day and a half of work, fueled mainly by hip hop, it is complete.
The face detail is actually all texture work and the face geometry itself is completely flat. I could have used a high-low poly bake but I decided instead to use an alpha and the height map stamping effect in Substance Painter as I was going to be spending a lot of time authoring the texture for the face text anyway I might as well just make an alpha for the imprint (also my laptop would probably just melt if I tried to work with a high poly with enough polygons).
