This is my attempt at modelling World of Warcraft’s Sulfuron Keep from the Firelands raid.
This model was created for a college project so any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
And just as a side note: I am aware that the underside of the model and the fact that the platform is poking out from the lava does look rather unusual, however the main reason for this is because I wasn’t originally planning to upload this scene as a physical model that could be viewed from any perspective, instead, once the model was completed, I intended to take a single, static render of the scene as if it were looking through the eyes of a player, and uploading that image to my Artstation account, meaning that I wasn’t really focussing on any of the areas of the model that wouldn’t be seen within the final render. A large half destroyed war machine only barely clinging onto a street lamp for balance. Battered and barely repaired it slowly patrols the streets.
So this one took me way too long. I had the original Idea for it back in November and started working on it then, but then my bachelor’s thesis paper got in the way and I had to put it aside. It was originally going to be a realistic highpoly model, but my PC couldn’t handle it, I tried the last weeks to fix it in some way, but seeing how my software student-licences are probably gone soon I took the lowpoly and made it very stylised. I do like how it turned out.
