Prompted by the lovely staff here at Sketchfab, I have decided to research a bit more about the pistol this model is based on, and boy was it a fun read! Fun Fact: It costs over 3000$ today The design dates from the 1860s, and is attributed to Louis Dolne. The gun was manufactured until the end of the 1800s. Marked “Dolne - 6mm" (L. Dolne - Imuur) on frame, folding trigger and exposed springs. Brushed finish, overall excellent. Known as the Apache Knuckle-duster (Up-Pash) for the Parisian fighters, called Apaches, that colonized the French capital starting in 1875.
