This is one of my first car models I built for a free independant racing game that allowed user generated content (racer.nl). It had a wonderful community that i do miss quite a bit. This was created before normal maps, high poly counts, and Substance Painter, but at least we had Photoshop… The Renault Alpine A110 is one of my favorite vintage automobiles of all time. I have only seen this car once in the flesh, and hope to again some day, it’s so beautiful to me. I have debated rebuilding this model as a high poly asset many times so I dug it out to see how it holds up in Sketchfab all these years later. See what you think and maybe download it for fun. Old_Train_Engine I saw this Train Engine once and was impressed by its sheer scale so much that I just had to model it. I collected some reference material and started working on it, draw inspiration from a similar works from the game Metro Exodus This work helped me get a deeper understanding of the Game pipeline.Followed all the necessary steps to fulfill the workflow of the actual video AAA game’s industry pipeline. It’s an homage to late 90’s PS1 games, like Gran Turismo. I used some of the same techniques used by artist back then such as opacity wheels, floating textures etc. although the not necessarily to make a 100% authentic PS1 era model. The VAZ-2101, commonly nicknamed “Kopeyka” (for the smallest coin, 1/100 of the Ruble), is a car introduced by the Soviet manufacturer AvtoVAZ in 1970, it was the company’s first product. The VAZ-2101 was sold under the brand “Zhiguli” in the Soviet Union, and branded as “Lada” for export. The name “Lada” was derived from a name of a “small boat (“ladya”) in Slavic language, symbolized by the logo badge. The model is based on the Italian Fiat 124.
