This 3D model of the partly terrestrial, predatory living Cuvier’s Dwarf Caiman, Paleosuchus palpebrosus (FMNH 22817) from South America. Although crocodylians have markedly flatter skulls than their ancestors, Paleosuchus has a markedly more vertical skull than its living relatives and its temporal muscles are also rather vertcially oriented.
