From the original 1987 hit Disneyland attraction Star Tours, the legendary StarSpeeder 3000!
The StarSpeeder 3000 was a transport spacecraft used by the Star Tours travel agency. It had room to carry up to 40 passengers. It is unknown what company designed the craft, but they were produced sometime around the Battle of Hoth.
The StarSpeeder 3000s were very similar to their predecessors, the StarSpeeder 1000s, both in shape and equipment. The craft was still boxy, with a downwardly angled front side, and still featured the usual five automated doors on both starboard and portside. With its five seating rows, the 3000 could still be boarded by no more than forty passengers at a time. Just a little preview for what I’m working on (and nearly done with), a 3d printable Rex droid!
There are no normal maps on this, it’s all water-tight ready to print geometry. Because of the limits of Sketchfab, it’s not SUPER high poly (like tens of millions), but it should be at the top end of the limit. It should be suitable for smaller scale print jobs, like if you wanted a 12 inch Rex droid. Probably not good enough for life-size, unless you don’t mind working with body filler and lots of sanding.
edit: a keen eyed fan pointed out the hand is the incorrect hand for this particular arm of Rex, and they’re 100% correct. For some odd reason I picked the wrong hand!
